A conspiracy to Remove the USA from Space Leadership ?? Destroying & Wasting a multi billion dollars program that will take decades to replace!

Look at the five years prior to shuttle retirement , at what the Congress, ASAP , Augustine commission, nasa leadership, were saying.   Look at PM Shannon hearing before asap prior to last mission-- Shannon stated we have a safe vehicle & an excellent team & summarized the steps taken to improve the vehicles.  But, to no avail , nasa mgt mind was made up, they wanted to get rid of shuttle, they even took steps to repurpose facilities to sabotage  commercial efforts to keep vehicle operational.

THEREBY, ESSENTIALLY ELIMINATING the USA as the Preeminent Space faring nation on Earth!  Destroying & wasting a multi billion dollar program, & jobs, dreams, hope & aspirations of millions of Americans.   All parties knew the USA wouldn't regain capabilities for decades, if ever.  Micheal griffin recently writes about the great exploration capabilities we have with sls, one flight per year with no capabilities to conduct ops in EO!

At time of proposed commercial ops , there WAS great bias  in adm, NASA , asap etc, AGAINST Shuttle.   The USA Will PAY A BIG price for decades!

IF WE implemented Correct approach , we should do what it takes to return two orbiters to flight ASAP.  After all, we have prints, drawings. procedures, & a significant portion of workforce is available.

So how does a former shuttle commander NOT believe Runway landers ARE best APPROACH? THIS DOES NOT SMELL RIGHT!!!

Well, most all the former pm's were believers of reuseable runway landers. Abbey, Kraft, Krantz, aldrin, Cernan, Armstrong . Crippen, young, SNC, Steve Lindsey, plus Jeffs, Brandenstein, DeCastro, plus many more.  

Don Nelson of nasaproblems.com suggested bolden should resign. I feel likewise. Obvious , this adm does not want a preeminent American SPACE PROGRAM!!!

So we have overwhelming consensus that shuttle concept is the only way to go--- WHY, WHY , WHY are we very, very, very, slowly going to manned capsules with limited funding WHILE we continue to Bankroll the Russia space program???? 
At present rate , it may be 2020 or later until we have a manned program. THIS IS NOT RIGHT FOR A SUPER POWER!!
